Education
We represent school corporations and their boards. Beasley & Gilkison has served as legal counsel for area school corporations for over 40 years. Some of the services we provide for these clients are:
- Advising school administrators regarding parent, teacher, and student issues
- Preparing or reviewing policies and contracts
- Appearing before the Indiana State Board of Education, Indiana Education Employment Relations Board, and other administrative agencies
- Participating in collective bargaining and school funding bond issues
- Maintaining membership in national and state education law organizations
- Preparing or reviewing bid specifications, notices, contracts, leases, construction agreements, and other business documents
- Reviewing employment practices, salary and benefit questions, and other personnel matters
- Counseling school personnel and participating in student discipline hearings
- Attending public meetings and executive session of the Board of School Trustees

Government
We represent the cities of Muncie and Marion, as well as other governmental and quasi-governmental entities, providing a wide range of legal services.
Beasley & Gilkison is pleased to have the City of Muncie as a client. We advise the Mayor and city department heads as legal issues arise in the daily management of urban affairs. We prosecute ordinance violations. We advise the Muncie Police and Fire Merit Commission and also counsel the Cable Commission.
